Golf Program Announces 2021 Schedule

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona golf program revealed its 2021 spring schedule on Wednesday afternoon.

After having its usual fall season postponed due to the continued spread of COVID-19, the Penn State Altoona golf team will finally resume intercollegiate competition this spring in a schedule consisting of five different events.

The Lions will open their 2021 season in Erie, golfing in the Penn State Behrend Invitational. The dates for this event have not yet officially been set, but it is expected to occur within the time frame of April 3-5.

After that, Penn State Altoona will make the short drive up Interstate 99 to Toftrees Golf Course in State College, where the Lions will compete in the Penn State Division III Challenge on Wednesday, April 7 at 11:30 a.m. Three days later, on Saturday, April 10, the Lions will host the Penn State Altoona Spring Invitational, with teams teeing off at 11:30 a.m.

Penn State Altoona heads into the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships on Saturday, April 17, with the multi-day conference final being hosted at Peek'n Peak Resort in Clymer, N.Y.

The Lions wrap up their spring schedule on Saturday, April 24, when they will head to the Summit Country Club in Cresson to play in the Mount Aloysius Invitational, which is slated to begin at 12:00 p.m.
