Traggiai Gets AMCC Men’s Swimmer of the Week Honor
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. – For the second time this season, Penn State Altoona junior Caden Traggiai (Sarver, PA/Knoch) was chosen as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Men's Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Traggiai played a big role in the Lions' 144-118 victory over non-conference opponent Saint Vincent College on the road last Friday.
The junior notched a pair of individual wins, placing first in the 200 Yard Freestyle by finishing in 1:49.55 and prevailing in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:04.35. He also had a third-place finish in the 200 Yard IM, during which he clocked in at 2:09.40.
Additionally, Traggiai was part of the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team that took third place with a combined time of 1:37.47.
The Penn State Altoona men's swimming team, which is 1-0-1 in dual meets this season, returns to action this Saturday, November 2, traveling to face non-conference foe McDaniel College at 11 a.m.
