ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's volleyball program announced its 2020 season schedule on Thursday. The Lions' schedule is comprised of 22 dates, including the team's slate of 14 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matches.

Penn State Altoona will open its season on the road Friday, January 17 and Saturday, January 18, traveling to Union, N.J. to compete in the The Clash at Kean University. After that, the Lions host their first home match of the 2020 season against AMCC opponent Hiram College on Friday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m. After a match at non-conference opponent Marymount University on Saturday, January 25 at 5:00 p.m., the Lions return home to host non-conference opponent Misericordia University on Thursday, January 30 at 7:00 p.m.

February's schedule will include four AMCC matches – all of them on the road – versus Hiram (Friday, February 21 at 7:00 p.m.), Geneva College (Saturday, February 22 at 1:00 p.m.), D'Youville College (Saturday, February 29 at 12:00 p.m.) and Medaille College (Saturday, February 29 at 4:00 p.m.). The Lions will also travel to play a two-day event at Wells College on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15, and the team also hits the road to play non-conference schools Saint Vincent College (Thursday, February 6 at 7:00 p.m.) and Keuka College (Saturday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m.). At home, Penn State Altoona will host non-conference foes Wilkes University (Tuesday, February 11 at 7:00 p.m.), Messiah College (Wednesday, February 19 at 7:00 p.m.), and Elizabethtown University (Tuesday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m.).

Penn State Altoona's schedule continues in March, when the Lions will host AMCC opponents Geneva (Wednesday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m.), Medaille (Saturday, March 28, start time TBA), D'Youville (Saturday, March 28, start time TBA), and Wittenberg University (Sunday, March 29 at 12:00 p.m.), as well as non-conference foe St. Vincent (Wednesday, March 25 at 7:00 p.m.). Penn State Altoona will travel to play conference opponents Penn State Behrend (Saturday, March 21, start time TBA), Thiel College (Saturday, March 21 at 2:00 p.m.), and Wittenberg (Sunday, March 22 at 12:00 p.m.), along with nearby non-conference opponent Juniata College (Saturday, March 7 at 3:00 p.m.).

The Lions' regular season schedule wraps up on Saturday, April 4, when the team will face AMCC opponents Penn State Behrend (start time TBA) and Thiel (4:00 p.m.) in Greenville, Pa.

After that, the AMCC will take the top four teams in the regular season standings to compete in the conference tournament, which will be hosted at the location of the top-seeded team. Semifinal matches are scheduled to happen on Saturday, April 11, with the AMCC championship match happening on Sunday, April 12 at 1:00 p.m.
