ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona softball program announced its 2025 regular season schedule on Thursday afternoon.

The Lions' schedule is highlighted by the team's annual southern spring break trip, as well as their eight-date Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference slate.

Penn State Altoona get its 2025 campaign underway in late February, as the Lions travel for a doubleheader at non-conference opponent Waynesburg University (Saturday, February 22 at 1 p.m.) before returning home to host a scrimmage against Penn Highlands Community College (Friday, February 28 at 2 p.m.).

After that, Penn State Altoona softball embarks on its yearly spring break trip. This year, the Lions will return to the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in the Myrtle Beach, S.C. area, where the team will compete against a variety of other Division III teams from around the country on March 7-15.

The Lions return to Pennsylvania for four non-conference doubleheaders to round out March, playing home twinbills against Susquehanna University (Thursday, March 20 at 3 p.m.), Penn College (Sunday, March 23 at 1 p.m.), and Juniata College (Tuesday, March 25 at 3 p.m.) before traveling to play Wilson College (Saturday, March 29 at 1 p.m.).

In April, Penn State Altoona will play out its 16-game AMCC schedule across eight doubleheaders. At home, the Lions will take on conference opponents La Roche University (Wednesday, April 2 at 3 p.m.), Carlow University (Tuesday, April 8 at 3 p.m.), Pitt-Bradford (Saturday, April 12 at 1 p.m.), and Penn State Behrend (Saturday, April 19 at 1 p.m.). Penn State Altoona will also travel to play Alfred State College (Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m.), Pitt-Greensburg (Wednesday, April 16 at 3 p.m.), Mount Aloysius College (Tuesday, April 22 at 3 p.m.), and Hilbert College (Saturday, April 26 at 1 p.m.).
