Monday Softball Games Rained Out
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The Penn State Altoona softball team's pair of games in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic on Monday, March 10, have been canceled due to rain.
The Lions were scheduled to face Dickinson College at 1 p.m., then the Mississippi University for Women at 5 p.m. However, with significant rain moving through the area on Monday, the day's game schedule was interrupted due to the weather and field conditions, and Penn State Altoona's games were called off.
With the cancellations, the Lions now head into their off day tomorrow before returning to competition on Wednesday, March 12, against Centenary University at 1 p.m. and King's College at 3 p.m. Both contests are scheduled to be held at the Central Park Complex in North Myrtle Beach.
