Women’s Bowling Starts AMCC Round Robin #2

ALTOONA, Pa. – Penn State Altoona women's bowling suffered five losses on Saturday, during day one of this weekend's AMCC Round Robin #2 at the Bavarian Aid Society's F.A. Gerhart Lanes.

This weekend's format is traditional team matches, and the Lady Lions were defeated in those matches on Saturday by conference opponents Mount Aloysius College (789-585), New Jersey City University (728-669), Medaille College (1012-626), D'Youville College (786-644), and Saint Vincent College (795-651).

The Lady Lions found themselves in 10th place in total pinfall by the end of the day with 3,175 pins. Medaille was in first with 4,548 pins with a 5-0 record, and Mount Aloysius was second in pinfall with 4,404 pins and a 4-1 mark.

Kayla Moran (Boalsburg, PA/State College) led Penn State Altoona in pinfall on the day, dropping 744 pins in five games to average a team-high 148.8 pins per game. Moran ranked 17th out of 59 participating bowlers during Saturday's action.

Jennifer Worley (Altoona, PA/Altoona) had a total score of 649 in five games to rank 33rd individually, averaging 129.8 per game. She also bowled Penn State Altoona's high score on the day, rolling a 160 against D'Youville.

Alyssa Bender (Altoona, PA/Altoona) dropped 647 pins in five games to average 129.4 per game. Kaitlyn Estright (Norristown, PA/Archbishop Carroll) posted a score of 490 in four games to average 122.5 per game, Kashish Gujral (Uttar Pradesh, India/Delhi Public School) had 336 pins in three games to average 112.0 per game, and Sierra Snigier (Seaford, DE/Seaford) totaled 309 pins in three games for an average of 103.0 per game.
