Women’s Golf Falls in Tri-Match with Hood, Susquehanna

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's golf team hosted non-conference opponents Hood College and Susquehanna University for a tri-match at the Lions' home course, Sinking Valley Country Club, on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions suffered a loss to each opponent, finishing third out of three teams. Susquehanna scored 340 as a team to go 2-0 on the day, while Hood shot 368 to split. Penn State Altoona compiled a team score of 480 to take a pair of losses.

Lauren Thompson (Austin, TX/Anderson) had the Lions' low round, shooting 95 to finish 10th out of 15 individual golfers on the day. Sabella Wu (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) carded 123 to take 12th place individually.

Isabelle Forcey (Clearfield, PA/DuBois Central Catholic) scored 128, Isabelle Dahl (Athens, PA/Athens) shot 134, and Alyssa Franks (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) totaled 141 to round out Penn State Altoona's lineup.

Next up, the Lions women's golf team will travel to Williamsburg, Va., next Sunday, October 20, and Monday, October 21, to compete in The Melee, presented by Premier Collegiate Tournaments. The two-day tournament is held at Ford's Colony Country Club.
