Bearcats Hand Lions First Dual Meet Loss
LATROBE, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's swimming team sustained its first loss in a dual meet this season, as the Lions fell 179-77 to non-conference opponent Saint Vincent College on Saturday afternoon at the Frank and Elizabeth Resnik Pool.
Teah Sponsler (Halifax, PA/Halifax) and Grace Dangelo (State College, PA/State College) each had a first place finish for the Lions.
Sponsler won the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:06.76, and Dangelo finished in first place in the 200 Yard Butterfly by clocking in at 2:25.84.
Penn State Altoona women's swimming returns to action on Saturday, November 5 at 1:00 p.m., when the Lions will travel to face Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Alfred State College in a dual meet.
