Pioneers Overpower Women’s Swimming in 125-72 Loss

ALTOONA, Pa. – Penn State Altoona women's swimming fell to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Alfred State College 125-72 on Saturday afternoon in the Adler Natatorium, suffering their second dual-meet loss of the season.

Penn State Altoona totaled three first-place finishes during the meet, with McKenna Holl (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin), Ava Monborne (Ebensburg, PA/Central Cambria) and Sarah Petry (St. Benedict, PA/Cambria Heights) recording one win apiece.

Monborne provided the Lions with their first win of the meet in the 100 Yard Freestyle, clocking in a time of 59.40. Holl achieved first place in a triumphant win in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:05.09.

Petry took home first place in the Lions' last win of the meet, compiling a time of 5:48.96 in the 500 Yard Freestyle. Petry also recorded a second-place finish in the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 12:03.80 for the Lions.

Madison Coleman (Altoona, PA/Tyrone) recorded a second-place finish for the Lions in the 200 Yard Freestyle, clocking in a time of 2:09.72.

Next up, Penn State Altoona women's swimming will compete at the Malone University Invitational on Thursday, November 16 through Saturday, November 18.
