Behrend Sweeps Lions, 9-0
ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's tennis team suffered its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference loss of the season on Friday, when visiting Penn State Behrend handed the Lions a 9-0 loss in a match at the Adler Tennis Courts.
Behrend (2-2, 1-0 AMCC) staked out a 3-0 lead in the match by winning all three doubles matches, prevailing by scores of 8-4, 8-3, and 8-4. The visitors continued to handle Penn State Altoona (2-2, 1-1 AMCC) during singles play, winning all six matches to leave with a clean sweep.
Penn State Altoona women's tennis wraps up its weekend homestand this Sunday, September 17 at 1 p.m. against nearby AMCC rival Mount Aloysius College.
