Women’s Tennis Falls to Titans

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's tennis team had its three-match win streak ended on Saturday afternoon, when the Lions were handed a 9-0 loss by non-conference opponent Westminster College on the road.

Westminster (7-2) established a 3-0 lead by the conclusion of doubles play, when the Titans earned 8-4 and 8-0 victories in the top two matches and also received a point via a forfeit in the No. 3 spot.

Penn State Altoona (5-3) lost all six singles matches to cap the Titans' sweep.

Penn State Altoona women's tennis returns to action tomorrow, Sunday, October 1, traveling to face Division II opponent Lock Haven University in a match starting at 12 p.m.
