Women’s Tennis Swept by Golden Tornadoes

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's tennis team was handed a loss on Saturday afternoon, when the Lions fell 7-0 to non-conference opponent Geneva College at the Brady's Run Indoor Courts.

Geneva (5-4) won the day's first point after claiming victory in all three doubles matches, winning by scores of 6-0, 6-3, and 7-5. The Golden Tornadoes added six more points to their total by taking all six singles matches, holding Penn State Altoona (5-5) without a point in a match for the first time this season.

Penn State Altoona women's tennis returns home to play again tomorrow, Sunday, September 29. The Lions will host Division II opponent Lock Haven University in a match starting at 1 p.m.
