Women’s Tennis Stumbles Against Harrisburg
ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's tennis team returned to non-conference play on Wednesday afternoon, when the Lions suffered a 6-1 home loss to Penn State Harrisburg at the Adler Tennis Courts.
Penn State Harrisburg (3-2) won two-of-three doubles matches to secure the first point, then prevailed in the No. 1 through No. 5 singles matches to finish the day with a five-point victory over Penn State Altoona (7-7).
The Lions' lone point of the match came via a forfeit in the No. 6 singles slot, and Penn State Harrisburg also yielded the No. 3 doubles match as a forfeit.
Penn State Altoona women's tennis plays its final home match of the fall this Sunday, October 13, when the Lions host non-conference opponent Allegheny College at 1 p.m.
