Men’s Soccer Grounded 6-0

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Altoona men's soccer lost 6-0 at Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference foe Penn State Behrend on Saturday afternoon.

Tanner Yaw (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) started and played the majority of the game, making three saves and taking the loss. Joe Koontz (Everett, PA/Everett) played for 23:31 and made two saves.

Penn State Altoona (2-11, 2-5 AMCC) was held without a shot in the game.

Penn State Behrend (8-3-2, 4-0-1 AMCC) made it 1-0 at 32:19 on a Nick Schwarzel goal, and they increased their lead to 2-0 at 34:36 on Andrew Mastovich's score.

Behrend scored four second half goals, as Dakota Lange, Ryan Maurer, Sean Abraham, and Devan Marhefka helped to build a 6-0 lead for the home team by the end of regulation. Richard Blanchard finished with three assists.

Next, Penn State Altoona men's soccer hosts AMCC opponent Hilbert College on Saturday, October 20 for the Lions' final home game of the season. The 3:15 p.m. contest is the team's Senior Day.
