HAMBURG, N.Y. – On Saturday afternoon, the Penn State Altoona men's soccer team faced off against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference foe Hilbert College in New York state, where the Lions were handed a 2-0 loss.

In the first half, both teams were able to defend and keep the score quiet, until Hilbert (2-7-1, 2-2 AMCC) was the first to land a goal on the board when Chris Smith scored at 20:05. Not too long after, at a time of 30:50, Hilbert was able to put another ball in the back of the net, when Ryan Michelsen's goal left the Lions trailing by two going into the second half.

In the second half, Altoona outshot the Hawks 11-5. But the period was scoreless, as Hilbert's defense ultimately held off Altoona to land one in the loss column for the Lions by a final score of 2-0.
